Meta bills each delivered message. The price depends on the message category and the recipient’s country. International authentication has its own rate where published. Your provider’s platform fee is separate.
Each category has its own price
Marketing, utility, domestic authentication, and international authentication messages are priced separately where Meta publishes a rate. Service replies inside the 24-hour window are free through September 30, 2026.
The recipient’s country sets the rate
The same message costs a different amount in each country. Your country and phone number do not matter.

Meta list prices in USD per delivered message, effective July 1, 2026 and valid through September 30, 2026. A new rate card applies from October 1, 2026.
Estimates use list prices with no volume discounts, allowances, taxes, or currency conversion.

How much does the WhatsApp API cost?
Meta charges per delivered message. On the current rate card, a utility or domestic authentication message costs from $0.0008 in Colombia to $0.0550 in Germany, and a marketing message from $0.0109 in Turkey to $0.1597 in the Netherlands. International authentication has its own rate where Meta publishes one. Your WhatsApp provider charges a platform fee on top. Kapso plans start free and add no markup to Meta's fees.
Does the price depend on my country or the recipient’s country?
The recipient’s country. A business in Mexico messaging a customer in Brazil pays the Brazil rate. Forecast your volume per destination country and add the totals up instead of using one global average.
What are the WhatsApp message categories?
Marketing messages are promotions and offers. Utility messages are transactional updates such as order confirmations and reminders. Authentication messages deliver one-time passcodes. International authentication is a separate category when the code crosses a border, and it has its own rate where Meta publishes one. Service messages are your replies inside the 24-hour customer service window. Each category has its own price in each country.
Are service messages free?
Service messages are your replies inside the 24-hour customer service window. They are free through September 30, 2026. From October 1, 2026, Meta charges for service messages in some cases, so the calculator includes a service line.
Are free messages, allowances, and volume discounts included?
No. The calculator uses Meta list prices. It does not apply Meta’s 72-hour free entry-point window, free inbound messages, volume discounts, taxes, or currency conversion. Enter only the delivered messages you expect to be billed for.
What changes on October 1, 2026?
Meta publishes a new rate card effective October 1, 2026. Service messages become billable in some cases, several countries move from a regional bucket to their own rate, and many per-message prices change. This page shows the rates in effect today. Does Kapso add a markup to Meta’s fees?
No. Kapso adds no markup to Meta’s published message fees. You pay Meta’s fees at cost through Kapso or directly to Meta. Kapso plans are priced separately and start free.
