What is WhatsApp MPS?

MPS connects your Meta app to Kapso. Use Kapso’s shared credit line to pay for eligible customers’ WhatsApp messages from one prepaid balance. You can send messages through Kapso or keep your own setup.

How to get started

Connect your Meta app, choose your setup, and start adding customers.

Follow the MPS setup guide →
  1. 1

    Get your app ready

Complete Meta’s Tech Provider verification. Ask Kapso to enable MPS and add funds to your project.

  2. 2

    Choose who sends messages

Let Kapso handle messaging, or keep using your own WhatsApp integration.

  3. 3

    Link your app to Kapso

Create a Multi-partner Solution in Kapso. If you created it in Meta, add its solution ID in Kapso.

  4. 4

    Connect your first customer

Once both partners are accepted in Meta, the solution becomes active. Connect a customer and check that billing is ready before sending paid messages.

After connecting a customer, confirm managed billing is active before sending paid messages.

A few things to know

Do I need to be a Meta Tech Provider?

Yes. Complete Meta business and access verification, obtain the permissions your signup flow needs, and configure embedded signup for your Meta app.

Review Meta app requirements →
Can I keep my existing WhatsApp infrastructure?

Yes. Choose your infrastructure to keep registration, messaging, and message webhooks in your integration while Kapso provides managed billing.

Use your infrastructure →
Does Kapso need to host my onboarding UI?

No. With Kapso messaging, you can share a hosted setup link or embed onboarding in your product with @kapso/sdk. With your own messaging infrastructure, use your Meta integration.

Compare onboarding options →
Which plans support MPS?

MPS is available on Platform and Enterprise. Kapso must enable it for your project, and you must maintain the minimum prepaid balance shown there. A plan subscription alone does not activate MPS.

Check access requirements →
How does managed billing work?

Kapso funds eligible WhatsApp accounts through its credit line and deducts fees from your prepaid USD balance. Your infrastructure includes a 5% managed billing fee above Meta’s published USD list rate; any non-USD FX margin is separate. External usage reporting can take several minutes.

When can I start onboarding customers?

Once both partners are accepted in Meta and the solution is active. Confirm the account connection and managed funding before sending paid traffic.
